About Us
Our Origin Story
In the beginning, we worked with children in an urban village in Hainan, China, to co-design a playground without walls. Made from recycled materials and powered by clean energy, it was the first space ever built there just for play. The kids were ecstatic—and played nonstop from morning to night.
Then, disaster struck. A typhoon stronger than Category 17 tore through the area. The village lost power, water, and communication. The playground, surprisingly, remained intact.
We returned, expecting questions like “When will the electricity come back?”
But instead, the first thing people asked was:
“When can we play again?”
That moment changed everything. We realized: If joy is this powerful—why not use it to power the world?
That’s how HappyPower was born.
